Join us for our Norden House Open Day!

We’re opening our doors and would love to welcome you to Norden House on Friday 6 November, for a special day of music, memories, history and community.

Our Vintage Tea Dance & Memory Lane open day is a chance for family, friends, carers and members of the local community to come along, meet our team, explore our home and find out more about everything we have to offer.

There’ll be plenty happening throughout the day, with something for everyone to enjoy.

What’s happening on the day?

We’ll be welcoming visitors from 9am, when tours of Norden House will begin. You’ll have the opportunity to meet our team, find out more about life at the home and enjoy a friendly introduction to our community.

There’ll also be a special history talk by Dr Janet Pennington, historian and author, exploring the fascinating history of hats. From how hats are made and their purpose at different events to the shops that once sold them through the ages, it promises to be a wonderful opportunity to discover something new.

Throughout the day, visitors can also enjoy our Memory Lane and memory boxes activity, sample something delicious during our chef tasting, and celebrate the creativity of our residents at the resident art exhibition and awards.

Our community marketplace will be running all day, and in the afternoon we’ll welcome singer Kerry Le Bern from 2pm to bring everyone together through music. We’ll round off the day with our prize draw before closing at 3pm.

Everyone is welcome

We know how important it is to feel part of a community, and our open day is all about bringing people together, sharing experiences and making connections.

Whether you’re a family member, a friend, a local resident or a professional who would like to learn more about Norden House, we’d love you to join us.

Come along for a tour, enjoy the activities, discover a little history or simply spend some time with us. We look forward to welcoming you!
