Activities and daily life
At Norden House, wherever possible, we will support you in maintaining the interests you’ve enjoyed throughout your life. You might even develop new interests during your time at Norden House with activities and social groups.
We’ve reimagined daily life for residents in our specialist care, and an important aspect of that is providing engaging activities.
At the heart of Norden House, we’ve introduced a vibrant and welcoming central community hub that mimics a charming street setting. This thoughtfully crafted space evokes a sense of nostalgia and familiarity, featuring a cosy tea shop, a quaint hair salon, and other inviting amenities. Residents can stroll down this ‘street’, engaging in activities that feel just like a part of everyday life. Our central hub is more than just a physical space; it’s a place where residents can reminisce, connect, and continue participating in the routines they’ve known and loved.
We also go on regular trips with residents locally and ensure there is lots of activities that they can join in throughout daily life at the home.
Spiritual Life
To some of our residents, religion plays an important role in their lives. Norden House welcomes people of all faiths, as well as people who do not consider themselves to be religious.
As a charity, Healthcare Management Trust (HMT) has its origins in religious orders and we maintain a close connection with St Marys church in Climping.
Our home also has strong links with denominations of all religious faiths within the local area.
We can organise visits to places of worship of your choosing and we can also arrange for you to receive visits from religious leaders.
