It’s the start of spring! What happened in March?

It’s been the first month of spring here at Norden House and all of us have had a wonderful month of March! We have had lots of fun doing variety activities including arts and crafts, and a visit from Radio Sussex!

BBC Radio Sussex came for interviews as part of their special dementia report, which was featured on their show between 10am and 12pm, from Monday 24th March to Friday 28th March.

With the weather getting brighter, our residents enjoyed the fresh air and walks through our gardens, we loved the blissful weather and hearing the bird’s tweet.

We enjoyed a fun day out to the local aquarium, where we got to see all types of fish and learn some interesting facts!

Our residents enjoyed their afternoon of baking, with all taking part of cracking the eggs, mixing, and most importantly tasting with a lovely cup of tea and a natter!

Together, we created some beautiful music in our group, as one of our activities was creating music with our percussion instruments, each of our residents enjoyed taking part and getting creative.

Finally, we finished our month of March at Norden House by celebrating one of our residents 101st birthday! We had a lovely birthday party together with plenty of cake, dancing and giggles!

With so many activities taking place, we look forward to more shared moments and fun events next month!
